Eagle Bucks Program

Eagle bucks logo

The Town of Eagle announces its "Eagle Bucks" program, allocating $95,000 to stimulate local businesses and give back to our community.

The purpose of the Eagle Bucks Program is to support local businesses located in the Town of Eagle during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic by encouraging residents to shop local and by marketing local businesses to consumers to aid in the health of the local economy. The projected budget for the Program is $95,000 and shall be funded from the Town’s General Fund.

Each voucher shall be numbered and printed in such a manner to prevent duplication and enable simple verification by participating businesses of the Program. Each P.O. Box holder in the Town of Eagle will receive two $20 vouchers, mailed in February. Vouchers are transferable but may only be redeemed once.

To use an Eagle Bucks voucher, a consumer must present and surrender the voucher to the participating business at the time of making a purchase. Vouchers must be presented and surrendered in person and may not be used for online purchases. Sales tax will be collected on the entire sale and shall not be discounted for use of an Eagle Bucks voucher. The entire voucher must be used or surrendered in one sale regardless of whether the sale meets or exceeds $20, and any remaining value is not redeemable for cash. The vouchers cannot be used to purchase tobacco, marijuana, alcohol from liquor store retailers, grocery store items, pharmaceuticals, lottery tickets, gift cards, or gasoline. There is a limit of one Eagle Bucks voucher per person, per visit. Vouchers cannot be copied or reproduced. Vouchers must be used by consumers at a participating business on or before April 15, 2021.

Participating Business Reimbursement of Eagle Bucks Vouchers

Participating businesses will be reimbursed by the Town for the money redeemed by an Eagle Bucks voucher by mailing the original voucher and reimbursement form to the Town at P.O. Box 609, Eagle, CO 81631, with a copy of the itemized receipt for the purchase attached. The Town will then mail the participating business a check in the amount of verified vouchers redeemed, for a maximum amount of $20 per voucher or the amount of the sale receipt, whichever is less. Vouchers must be redeemed to the Town by participating businesses on or before May 28, 2021, whereupon the vouchers will expire. Participating businesses must be located within the Town of Eagle, have a Town of Eagle Business License, have a valid Town of Eagle Sales Tax License, and must not conduct a majority of their retail business with one of the disqualifying products.

Businesses wanting to accept Eagle Bucks must register with the Town prior to accepting these vouchers, and the application link is below. Businesses can register at any time during the program, but those registered before January 25th will be listed in the mailer along with the vouchers. All participating businesses will be listed below.
