Residential Curbside Collection Pilot Program

Vail Honeywagon Logo

Vail Honeywagon has created a pilot curbside collection program to offer residential organic waste collection in select Eagle neighborhoods. Residents can voluntarily subscribe to receive organic waste collection in an effort to reduce the amount of trash going into our local landfill. Request pilot curbside collection information here.

Additionally, Vail Honeywagon partners with community hosts to establish conveniently located drop sites for residents who would like to compost individually. Communities like Eagle must register as a member and adhere to composting guidelines in exchange for access to these secure drop site containers.

What Goes in the Compost Bin:
Food Scraps - fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, bones, cooked foods, breads & grains
Fibers / Paper Products - napkins, non-coated paper plates, chopsticks, coffee filters, shredded paper, paper towels & tubes, pizza boxes

Materials NOT Acceptable for Composting:
plastic bags, rubber bands, stickers, disposable gloves, commingle recyclables (glass, aluminum, plastic), straws, pet waste
