The Building Department works to ensure safe, efficient and orderly development within the Town of Eagle. We are a public organization that puts customer service first by utilizing motivated professionals who contribute toward shaping the Town of Eagle as a community of choice.
We are here to serve the community and assist with code related questions, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with the International Building Code, Town ordinances, and regulations. The Building Division is responsible for reviewing building plans and permit applications. We also maintain records of completed building permits and inspections.

Colorado Energy Benchmarking Requirements
Colorado's New Statewide Benchmarking Program
Building Performance Colorado (BPC)
The Benchmark Reporting Period is Open. Deadline: June 1, 2023.
Building Performance Colorado (BPC) is Colorado’s statewide benchmarking program created as a result of House Bill 21-1286, or the “Energy Performance for Buildings” Statute and aims to increase energy efficiency and decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the building sector. The program requires owners of large commercial, multifamily, and public buildings 50,000 square feet and larger to report their annual energy use to the Colorado Energy Office (CEO). .

Building Code
The Town of Eagle uses the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), 2015 International Plumbing Code (IPC), 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC), 2015 International Energy Code, and the 2015 International Fuel Gas. Code books can be purchased through the International Code Council at their Online Store.
The Municipal Code does not cover all building codes and please refer to the above International Codes for complete information, however please note that the Town of Eagle has adopted amendments to these codes that are part of Title 13, Eagle Municipal Code - Building and Construction.
