The Town of Eagle will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at Eagle Town Hall to present the first reading of the proposed 2025 fiscal year budget. Town staff will provide updates based on recent Town Council work sessions, including adjustments and projections to the budget.
Key Items for the 2025 Budget:
Projected Flat Sales Tax Revenues: Sales tax revenues for 2025 in the General Fund are expected to remain flat.
5% Operational Budget Reductions: Departments within the General Fund were given a 5% target reduction in their operational budgets. These reductions are intended to ensure that General Fund expenditures remain in line with projected revenues.
New Departments for Transparency: To enhance transparency for both the council and the public, two new departments—Sustainability and Economic Development & Housing—have been created. These were previously part of the General Government department and have now been separated.
The proposed budget from the Sept. 24 work session can be viewed here. The updated proposed 2025 budget for the Oct. 8 council meeting will be posted on Friday, Oct. 4, in the afternoon, and can be accessed here.
Additional budget hearings are scheduled for Oct. 22, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10.
