[ARCHIVED] Respect the Trails, Respect the Wild

Respect Trails

Respect the Trails: Eagle’s trails are currently experiencing a mix of conditions due to recent snowfall, with mud, snow and dry dirt all present depending on the shade and aspect. If you decide to explore the trails, please turn back if you encounter mud, as using muddy trails can cause significant damage and lead to costly repairs in the spring. Additionally, avoiding muddy areas by going around them can widen the trail and harm nearby natural resources. Remember, a muddy trail is a closed trail!

Respect the Wildlife: As elk and deer return to Eagle seeking vegetation at lower elevations due to high elevation snow, it’s important to respect wildlife by not approaching or disturbing them and always keeping pets on a leash.
