[ARCHIVED] Click It or Ticket, May Mobilization Campaign

What: Click It or Ticket, May Mobilization Campaign
When: May 23 thru June 5th, 2016

The Eagle Police Department will be participating in the national Click It or Ticket Campaign starting May 23rd and ending on June 5th, 2016. We participate in this initiative with the belief that wearing a seat belt can reduce the risk of injury to yourself and passengers in your vehicle. This is a nationwide partnership, and agencies all over the State of CO and the nation will be participating.
As with all partner agencies, we hope to write as few tickets as possible during this campaign period.

The national Click It or Ticket Mobilization is conducted by the Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign of the National Safety Council in conjunction with NHTSA, state highway safety offices, law enforcement agencies and the National Transportation Safety Board.

Please take the time to enhance your knowledge on the laws requiring seatbelt use for adults and children via the links below.

“When you’re not wearing your seat belt, you’re risking serious injury or death. And unlike a TV show or a movie, there’s no rewinding and no do-overs. From May 23rd through June 5th, cops will be stepping up enforcement to crack down on motorists not wearing their seat belts. Why are cops enforcing seat belt laws? Because in real life, you don’t get a second chance.” - NHTSA
