The Town of Eagle is offering a series of exciting and informative events focused on sustainability this spring. From eco-friendly home practices to nurturing our local environment and exploring green transportation options, Eagle residents have numerous opportunities to positively impact the community while having fun in the process.
Event Highlights:
- April 15: Green Home Tour & Happy Hour
Tour a local home undergoing energy-efficient upgrades. Gain insights from the homeowners about the process, tips, tricks, costs and more. Following the tour, the town will host a happy hour at the Brush Creek Pavilion featuring information from local sustainability partners, plus resources to kickstart your energy journey. Limited space, sign up at walkingmountains.org. - May 4: Town of Eagle Cleanup & Hard2Recycle Event
Help keep Eagle beautiful and responsibly dispose of unwanted items. Eagle residents participating in the town’s trash service can also collect finished compost for their gardens and landscaping. For a list of accepted items, visit eagleoutside.com and click on events. - May 19: EV Ride N' Drive
Presented by the town, Walking Mountains and Clean Energy Economy for the Region, come explore the world of electric vehicles (EVs) and electric bikes (E-bikes). Eagle’s Sustainability Goals:
The Eagle Town Council is committed to a sustainable future. In 2021, they set goals to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2028 for the town’s operations and by 2030 for the broader community.
“These events are a chance for our community to get involved and help us reach our net zero goals,” said Sustainability Specialist Kira Koppel. “Every resident and business can make a difference and everyone benefits from sustainable practices.”
