New interpretive signage will be installed along the paved path that runs parallel to Brush Creek, with the installation scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Sept. 5-6. This bilingual signage aims to educate the public about local wildlife, the ecosystem and responsible recreation practices. Topics will include the importance of keeping a safe distance from wildlife, particularly in winter, keeping dogs on a leash and respecting seasonal closures of wildlife trails and open spaces. Although the path will remain open during the installation, visitors should be mindful of equipment on the path. This initiative, developed in partnership with Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Walking Mountains Science Center, with funding from the Eagle Ranch Wildlife Committee, was identified as a priority in the 2022 Open Space and Trails Master Plan. Once the signage is in place, we encourage everyone to visit and perhaps learn something new about our local natural environment
